Flight to Dunedin and the rental car experience

Arrived at the Dunedin airport, on the southern tip of the South Island

It was a short flight to Dunedin from Wellington. This is the farthest south I have ever been.

I rented a white Nissan Tiida, very similar to my Kia at home except that the steering wheel is on the right --- and I had to adjust to driving on the left!

The extra cost of a GPS was worth every penny!  I made it to my first two nights' accommodations without an accident, although I did have problems getting through an intersection that didn't have a traffic light. Hard to tell when it was safe to go through.
