Pancake Rocks and lounging seals
A trip to Cape Foulwind, aptly named by Captain Abel Tasman because of the intense winds, is now home to families of seals who lounge on the rocks.
A short distance away was Punakaiki, where we saw Pancake Rocks -- rock formations that looked like stacked pancakes.
