Miramar Studios in Wellington, home of computer graphics for Lord of the Rings movies and others

We drove to the town of Miramar, a suburb of Wellington, where Sir Peter Jackson and the Miramar studios have created the computer graphics for Lord of the Rings/Hobbit movies and many more.
The Weta Cave is the shopfront of the Oscar-winning Weta Workshop. We could view the creative process for props, models, costumes, etc. that go into movie computer graphics.

The "green screen" which allows the computer graphics artists to create any backdrop for the action in front of it.
Trolls outside the Weta Cave, where we saw how the computer graphics are done
