Map of New Zealand (North Island and South Island)

Hello!  Here is a map of New Zealand, which is basically two large islands, plus other assorted islands at both ends.  The cities of Auckland and Rotorua, at the start of my trip, are on the North Island.  At the end of my first two weeks, the tour will end at Wellington, the capital, which is at the far south tip of the North Island.

The South Island (where Lord of the Rings was filmed) is where I will spend most of my time.  The tour activities are primarily on the west coast and in the "Southern Alps", and my final week in Dunedin and the Otago Peninsula is at the southern tip on the east coast of the South Island.
